ABC meet with Water Reseach Council

Late in 2010 Government released its National Climate Change Green Paper for public comment. Given that South Africa (Durban) will host the next round of the UNFCCC’s negotiation on Climate Change and that South Africa is expected to play a major leadership role in this regard, participation by organized business is of critical importance in determining  a realistic and achievable response, both in terms of mitigation and adaptation. To this end the ABC has participated fully in Business Unity South Africa’s (BUSA) Task Team on Climate Change to develop a responsible, yet achievable outcome that will not compromise our already threatened competitiveness, especially also in the agro-food industry.
