AGBIZ CONGRESS 2026 WRAPS UP SUCCESSFULLY IN GQEBERHA

Agbiz would like to extend its sincere thanks to all delegates, members, sponsors, speakers, students, media partners and stakeholders who contributed to the success of the Agbiz Congress 2026 in Gqeberha.

Held under the theme Embracing Collaboration, the Congress brought together leaders from across South Africa's agricultural value chains for two days of insightful discussions, networking and engagement on the future of agriculture, agribusiness and economic growth.

A key milestone of the Congress was the election of Agbiz's new leadership. Members elected PG Strauss as Chairperson, with Lukeshni Chetty and Francois Swanepoel elected as Deputy Chairpersons. Boitshoko Ntshabele and Tobias Doyer were elected as Steering Committee members, marking an important new chapter for the organisation.

Another highlight was the Netafim-sponsored Student Case Competition, where some of South Africa's brightest future agricultural leaders presented innovative solutions to challenges facing the wheat value chain.
