About the bursary

Agbiz Centenary Bursary 2026

In celebration of Agbiz members who have marked 100 years of existence, the Agbiz Centenary Bursary Fund was established to promote master’s or PhD-level research in agribusiness-related fields. Agbiz is proud to support the academic growth of students who contribute to advancing research in the sector.

For 2026, the Agricultural Business Chamber (Agbiz) is making an annual bursary of R47 500 available to a South African student registered for a master’s or PhD degree in agribusiness management-related fields at any recognised South African university. Terms and conditions apply.

How to apply:

  • Complete the application form (attached below).
  • Submit the form together with the required documentation to policy@agbiz.co.za.

Closing date: 1 December 2025.

  • No late applications will be accepted.
  • The selected student will be notified by mid-January 2026.
  • Unsuccessful applicants will not receive notification.
