Wandile Sihlobo speaks on the rise in food prices

As food prices continue to rise, there are important questions to ask about what kind of winter wheat harvest can be expected, and what farmers will actually be planting. It is estimated that global wheat production will be down by around 1% this year, mainly because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Chief economist at Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa (Agbiz) Wandile Sihlobo weighs in on the issue in this interview with Newzroom Africa interview.
